  • Achievements:
    • Shorten the overall products’ time-to-market from 9 months to 3 months, after joining Acronis for half a year (2008).
    • Drive the change of UI strings creation which results in reducing cost and time required for the overall program/projects.
    • Simship largest enterprise and consumer products in 3 languages in the year 2009, and the remaining languages are launched in tiers which range from 3 weeks to 1.5 months after the initial release.

Localization DTP Specialist

  • Work with localization engineers and translators as needed, to establish the best workflow, tools and processes for job execution.
  • Conduct research and testing to introduce new publishing and localization procedures to improve current methodologies.
  • Support the sales process by analyzing files, and providing time estimations.
  • Perform desktop publishing on technical documents and markup language based documents (SGML/XML/HTML), utilizing authoring/publishing tools.
  • Prepare and compile online helps using various tools under different environments and/or locales.
  • Perform build verification testing on the online help in various formats (CHM, WinHelp, AppleHelp and etc) to check consistency between help, technical documentations and hardware (HP printers).
  • Perform file-format editing or conversion (Unicode, ASCII and etc) to allow better support for various applications in multiple systems, locales, and platforms.
  • Develop scripts and plug-ins to support applications, platforms and locales; and to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of content localization processes.

    • Develop a plug-in to allow support for Thai language in Adobe Indesign CS.
    • Define and maintain a process to allow support of 8 Asian/European languages in Adobe Framemaker at the same time.
